Conference information ‘Preventive Mediation’ april 20th 2010
Main theme of the Utrecht Mediation Conference 2010 will be ‘Preventive Mediation’.
Negotiations on the establishment of a contract develop more structured in the setting of mediation and this may help prevent future litigation.
Under the direction of a neutral mediator, the interests of the parties are identified and balanced. Material of possible future conflict can be fitted into relevant preventive agreements. The agreement that stems from a mediation process will almost by definition be a lot better.
In short: Mediation to prevent the emergence of a conflict or a dispute between people who are at the point of establishing a long-term relationship with each other.
